Many people can feel anxious or worried at various times throughout their lives; for example, you may feel anxious about a job  interview, driving test even getting married or the thought of doing a work presentation.  For some people these feelings of worry or anxiety can become intrusive and effect the individual on a daily basis.

The symptoms of anxiety are many and varied, below are a few common examples:–

     Dry mouth

     Sense of dread

     Stomach Ache

     Sleep problems

     Excessive sweating

For some people they can experience more extreme levels of anxiety which can be referred to as ‘panic attacks’ which can feel very frightening.  It has been described by some sufferers as though they thought they were going to die or were having a heart attack.

How can Hypnotherapy help?

Whether you are suffering with anxiety that is related to an upcoming event eg – interview, operation, presentation; or a longer period of anxiety that has developed for other reasons, then hypnosis combined with other appropriate techniques will enable you to significantly reduce your worry/anxiety and help you feel more ‘in control’.

It helps by providing you with a greater sense of self confidence and self-esteem.  It will build on your self- belief and you will have a strong visual image of yourself being calm and in control.  As the subconscious mind cannot distinguish between real and imagined thoughts, then this improved self image will reflect in your actual behaviour.
